Edward (Shark) Teeth  (no one has called me Shark since I left the streets)  I got my nick name in an incident when I was eight.  In a fight with a bigger kid (called for ever after this, Scar) I bit a chunk out of the arm which he held me in a head lock with.  He let me go calling me "you G!$ D%#*ed Shark".  Who knows why he said that, but the name stuck.

History:

After that I got some respect on the streets.  I setup my own little gang.  Mostly did petty stuff. Simple cons, a little B&E, extortion of other gangs and hoods.  I was a little smarter than most of the other kids.  I was smart enough to only hit those who couldn't hit back.  I controlled the gang, I didn't do the jobs.  That's why I could get into the Mil Academy, I was never arrested or convicted.

Ran on the streets till I graduated high school.  Mostly self taught.  I got a High School
Equivalency, and applied to the Military Academy.  My entrance tests were good enough to get me in and I was able to get some spending money from my folks.  But as they had very little to spare I couldn't spend too much time away from school so I excelled.  Also being so young I made few friends at school.  Being so little, I learned survival and tactics early in my career.

After the academy I went to commando.  I learned enviro. combat and more gun combat. Then I took my command, got my first promotion and my first medal (no combat ribbon as this was an unofficial/unknown to the public skirmish.  I stayed in the army expecting to be a career officer.  Next term I got another command, promotion and a medal (another MCG). This time I got this one because I completed what was thought to be an impossible mission. But to do so I had to leave one of my team behind.  This broke the cardinal rule of the commando teams.  I did it because The Company had approached me and recruited my team for the mission and told me it was to save critical trade negotiations.  And I must bring the prisoner back at all costs.  I took this to heart and accomplished to kidnapping.  Leaving a wounded soldier to be captured, tortured, and killed.  The trade negotiations were a success. And I was no longer welcome in the Army.

The Company took me in.  I was made afield operative.  I learned how to track down
criminals.  How to fight them legally and with more direct action.  And eventually how to negotiate for the release of captured operatives (trade negotiations).  In the course of my twenty years as an agent I received 4 promotions, 3 silver stars and a bronze star.  I can't tell you about most of my missions.  If I did, someone would have to kill you and me.

In my last term with the Company.  I was assigned to a first contact ship.  I was the official follow the rules guy.  On our third contact I was with the contact team and saw that one of the contact personnel was selling advanced technology to some disreputable characters of this new race.  I made a mistake and in the ensuing fight was shot in the arm.  I did manage to stop the sale, but I messed up the contact pretty badly.  I was awarded by the Law enforcement side of the Company and condemned by operations, so I retired.
 

I mustered out of the Army with 50K credits.

I mustered out of the Company with 67.5Kcr, a TAS membership, 1 high passage anywhere in the empire, one of my assigned service weapons, and a forensics kit.
