Internal Security Force: The paramilitary law-enforcement and intelligence agency of the Interstellar Confederacy. The ISF was responsible for the maintainance of order within the Confederacy and for the cessation of "dangerous" contact with outsiders who ventured into the Interstellar Confederacy without permission. Also in times of crisis, the ISF acted as a cadre of the Confederacy army. Many worlds within the Great Spiral still have vestiges of the ISF within their governments. -core TD 9
