Travellers' Aid Society (TAS)
Individuals who have decided that they want to pursue a life of travel
and adventure may elect to join the Travellers' Aid Society (TAS) in
order to take advantage of its facilities and passage dividends.
Members of TAS receive, as a dividend of membership, one high passage
every two months. The high passage may be used, retained for
later use, or sold for cash (typically for 90% of its purchase value).
Membership in TAS may be acquired as a mustering out benefit from
service to the Imperium, or purchased
for an initiation fee of
1,000,000 Cr. Only one
application is permitted per person, and
if that application is rejected (i.e. blackballed) the person will
never be
allowed into the society.
Membership is for life, and is not transferrable.
