Sparrak: a Description
Icy cold Sparrak nevertheless supports a thriving agricultural industry
underground. By maintaining a limited population, the agricultural
import companies from Frange that run this system manage to make
efficient use of the limited energy available from the dim red dwarf star.
Solar microwave power satellites provide all the energy that Sparrak
needs; backup fusion plants can provide emergency power in case the satellites
should become disabled for any reason, but they are not run except during
drills.
Plans have been announced to import ice-plants from Horty, but
transplantation and transport problems have delayed this program.
