As the second devastating solar flare swept through the Pimane system, a violent explosion ripped through the city of Hope's End. Five Imperial Navy personnel were killed in the explosion, which completely vaporized the domed city.
A gaping crater now occupies the site of the sole habitation on the
surface of Pimane. This news was passed on to the thousands of refugees
on the naval shelter ship Oz, with a promise of Imperial assistance
in rebuilding the infrastructure of the system.
