The pirate ship Berlin celebrated the new year by raiding the passenger ship Ceres, shortly after its arrival in the system. No-one was hurt, and nothing was taken. The pirate crew, lead by Robin Sherwood, boarded the Ceres and hosted a New Year's party in the passenger lounge of the liner. They then returned to their ship and jumped away.

This is the third time the Berlin has struck in Vilis subsector recently. Officials emphasized that any act of piracy, whether it results in loss of life or property -- or neither -- is an Imperial crime and must be taken as a serious event.
