Construction of New Hope Begins

Today the first steps were made in the construction of the city of New Hope on Pimane. Imperial Marine Engineers have already finished the last stage of decontamination from the explosion that destroyed the old city of Hope's End, and will remain on site to supervise the excavations for the lower levels and foundation for the new city.

The contract for construction of New Hope was highly contested, and finally was awarded to Civilcon, LIC. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the shipping corporation Imperiallines, well known in the Spinward Marches. Civilcon's parent company will be responsible for initial administraion of the starport facilities, which are anticipated to be much superior to the previous installation.

Pimane remains an Amber Zone until the new city is operational.
