of the aquatic Iasat. Judged to be a developing sentient species
by the
Imperial Scout Service,
the Iasats are under study by 200 Imperial Scientists
of the Learun Research Foundation, on a grant from Emperor Strephon.
Other visitors to the planet are restricted in their contacts with the
natives.
